Aleks has been a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for 13 years and holds an American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certification of clinical competence (CCC-SLP). She is also a certified provider of More Than Words through the Hanen Centre. Aleks is an alumna of California State University, Northridge, where she earned a Master of Science in Communication Disorders & Sciences. Being a school-based SLP & early intervention specialist for the past 12 years has given her many opportunities to diversify her skills and grow as a clinician; however, the demands and limitations to professional freedom led her on a journey to the private practice setting. She wanted to dedicate more time to empowering families, celebrating together & prioritizing a whole-child approach. Aleks believes in fostering relationships, creating meaningful experiences within sessions, and celebrating all forms of communication.

During Aleks' career as a pediatric speech-language pathologist, she's had the privilege of working with children from infancy through adolescence. She has experience working with children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), articulation/phonological disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Gestalt Language Processors, Augmentative & Alternative Devices, Receptive/Expressive Language delays, and Social Skills difficulties.

Aleks is a mother of three little ones and enjoys spending time with family, discovering new coffee shops, and staying active. She values inclusivity, giving families practical tools & starting happy dances for the small and big bits of goodness that happen each day.
