our team.
Our team is a collaborative, compassionate small group of clinicians who are deeply committed to supporting children and their families. We bring together diverse clinical strengths, shared values, and a genuine passion for helping each child grow in a way that feels meaningful and empowering. At the heart of our work is connection—we prioritize building strong relationships with our clients and with each other, creating an environment that is warm, respectful, and supportive.

SLPs & SLPAs
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) work together as a collaborative team to support a child’s communication development and overall success. While their roles are different, both are incredibly important in helping children build the skills they need to communicate confidently and effectively.
An SLP is a licensed clinician who is specially trained to evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for speech, language, social communication, feeding, and other communication-related needs. The SLP is responsible for determining appropriate goals, monitoring progress, making clinical decisions, and ensuring therapy remains personalized and effective for each child.
An SLPA is a licensed therapist who works under the supervision and guidance of the SLP to help carry out therapy services. SLPAs provide hands-on treatment sessions, support children in practicing their communication goals, and help create engaging, motivating, and play-based learning opportunities.
The relationship between an SLP and SLPA can be compared to the collaboration between a doctor and nurse, a teacher and teacher’s aide, or a dentist and dental hygienist. Each professional has a unique role, but they work closely together to provide the best possible care. The SLP and SLPA remain in regular communication regarding progress, strategies, challenges, and next steps. Together, they create a team approach that ensures therapy is both clinically appropriate and deeply supportive for the child and family. Together, the SLP and SLPA work hand-in-hand with one shared goal: helping every child grow, connect, and communicate to their fullest potential.
